Ways of boosting relations between Syria and Belarus were discussed

MINSK, Jan. 26, (ST)- Syria and Belarus reviewed on Wednesday  ways of boosting relations in all fields, especially in the economic, industrial and trade ones, with the aim of reaching the same level of  distinguished political relations

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the discussion was held by the Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Abdel Latif and the Chairman of the Belarusian Military Industrialization Committee Dmitriy Bantos, who is also the Head of the Belarusian side at the Joint Governmental Committee.

During the discussion, the two sides spoke about preparations for the meetings of the 8th session of the Joint Governmental Committee which will be held today.

Bantos affirmed his country’s continued support for Syria in its war against terrorism and at different international forums.

He hailed the deep-rooted friendship relations between the two countries’ leaderships and peoples, expressing his country’s desire to consolidate its relations with Syria in all fields.

For his part, Abdel Latif highlighted the distinguished historical friendship ties between the two countries at all levels, stressing Syria’s support for Belarus in the face of the unjust Western attack being launched against it.

He also asserted the need to exert all possible efforts by both sides to enhance cooperation and reach the required level upon the directive of the two countries’ leaderships.
