Water will Soon be Re-pumped to Damascus Citizens’ Houses

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The water of  Eyn al-Feiga Spring has started to be pumped into Damascus water storage facilities in preparation to pump it to citizens’ houses, Minister of Water Resources Nabil al-Hassan announced on Sunday.

The Syrian Arab army managed on Saturday to recapture Eyn al-Feiga Water Spring and the storage facilities in Wadi Barada area in Damascus Countryside from terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra.

In a statement to the Syrian TV, al-Hassan said maintenance workshops began the process of pumping the water to Damascus reservoirs ten hours after maintenance team had started fixing hugest damage points caused to the spring by the terrorist takfiri groups.

The minister added that the terrorist groups have deliberately damaged the water spring and its utilities, including structures as well as the control, power and mechanical systems with the purpose of delaying the process of re-pumping the water to Damascus as long time as possible.

According to al-Hassan, the ministry started to pick samples from the pumped water for quality analysis. He pointed out that based on the results of the analysis water will be pumped gradually to houses.
