Water Cooperation with Indonesia Discussed

Damascus, (ST) – Water Resources Minister Dr. Kamal al -Sheikh and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Damascus Joko Haryanto discussed here yesterday prospects of cooperation between the two countries particularly water resources sector.

The minister reviewed the water situation in Syria and the damages hit this sector, welcoming  cooperation and exchange of expertise to take advantage of the two experiments of water resources sector, and expressed the readiness of the ministry to prepare a draft memorandum of understanding in this domain.

 

For his part, the Ambassador, Haryanto, renewed his country’s support to Syria in the face of aggression, expressing further cooperation and development of relations and readiness to provide all kinds of necessary support, especially in the sector of water resources.
