Washington-Led Coalition’s Crimes against Syrian Civilians Aim to Deceive the World that US Is Fighting Daesh

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday sent a letter to the UN chief and president of the Security Council regarding the massacre committed yesterday by the illegal US-Led coalition against Syrian civilians in “al-Jarthi Sharqi” village in Deir Ezzor and which claimed the lives of 23 innocent people, including women and children and caused huge damage to infrastructure and people’s properties.

By committing this crime, which came after the Syrian Arab army and its allies had succeeded in eliminating Daesh terrorist organization, the coalition aimed to delude the world that it is fighting Daesh, while in fact, it is protecting the terrorists and transferring them to safe places, particularly after the coalition’s feverish attempts to hinder the successes of the Syrian army and its allies in the fight against the terror group have failed, the ministry said.

It added that the Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the coalition’s repeated attacks and war crimes against the Syrian civilians. Syria also condemns turning blind eyes by the parties who claim their keenness on protecting human rights and the International Humanitarian, to the coalition’s crimes in the Syrian provinces of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.

The ministry concluded by saying that the Security Council hasn’t adopted any procedure so far to stop the attacks of the illegal coalition on the Syrian civilians and infrastructure due to the misinformation practiced by the United States and its allies who falsely keep claiming that they are fighting Daesh and achieving victories while the fact is the opposite, because the party which is achieving the victories on terrorist organizations is the Syrian Arab army, its allies and supporting forces.
