Washington-Led Coalition Attacks Syrian Army Position in Deir Ezzor Counntryside

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- The illegal US-led Coalition has attacked a Syrian Army position in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province causing the martyrdom of several soldiers and the wounding of several others.

A military source told SANA that the “American-led coalition targeted one of our military positions in “al-Harra” town in the southeast of al-Boukmal city in Deir Ezzor. A number of soldiers were martyred and scores of others were wounded.”

The new aggression comes three days after Syrian army units have liberated and cleared an area of 2000 square km from mines and explosive devices left by Daesh terrorists in western Badia (desert) of al-Mayadeen city.

The coalition, which was illegally established without the Security Council permission, now and then targets army positions in a desperate attempt to raise the morale of the terrorist organizations which are suffering successive defeats and heavy losses under the strikes of the Syrian army.

Reports from the battlefield stress that Washington has been providing all forms of support for Daesh to prevent its collapse in order to use it as a tool and a pretext to maintain the presence of US forces in the Syrian territories and to steal the economic resources of Syria’s eastern region.
