Washington demonstrate once again its hostile nature, says Qalibaf

Tehran, (ST) – The head of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stressed that the West, especially the United States and some European countries, have proven hostile towards Iran, stressing that Iran never negotiated with Washington.

Qalibaf said in a speech during the Shura Council meeting today, “in recent days, Western countries, especially the United States and some European countries, have demonstrated their hostile nature to the Iranian people again and that they cannot be trusted and have proven to us that there is no way but resilience smartness and wise resistance to preserve the rights of the Iranian people and ensure their progress”, Fars News Agency reported.

In response to the recent decision of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency against Iran, Qalibaf said, “this decision came within the framework of a boyish American and Zionist scheme and it also constitutes” treacherous behavior by European countries against Tehran.

Qalibaf pointed out that his country would never allow the IAEA to bypass legal frameworks and said that despite all the plans, everyone saw that no global consensus against Iran had crystallized, but that some major powers and other countries had announced their opposition to the decision explicitly.

The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, yesterday, adopted a resolution against Iran alleging its lack of cooperation with the investigations carried out by the agency on its soil.

The first vice-president of the Iranian President, Yitzhak Jahangiri, played down yesterday the effects of the decision, stressing that Tehran has no consideration to such decisions.
