Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission: Occupation and settlers carried out 1,127 attacks on the West Bank during the past month

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out 1,127 attacks on the West Bank during the month of May.

Wafa News Agency quoted the Commission as saying in today’s report on the occupation’s violations during the past month: The occupation forces carried out 906 attacks, while settlers carried out 221 ones, noting that these attacks were concentrated in the city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) with 182 attacks, followed by Al-Khalil city (Hebron) with 180 and Nablus with 179.

The Commission clarified that the occupation authorities seized an area of 5.7 dunams from the lands of the villages of Nahalin and Al-Jabaa in Bethlehem to establish a buffer zone around a settlement established in the area, bringing the number of buffer zones established by the occupation since the beginning of its aggression against Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October to four zones in actual application of the buffer zones plan proposed by the minister in the occupation government, Bezalel Smotrich, at the beginning of the aggression.

The Commission indicated that the occupation announced 8 settlement plans threatening to seize 300 dunums of West Bank land, most of which are in the vicinity of the Ma’ale Adumim settlement established on the lands of Al-Quds, while the occupation forces demolished 40 homes and 26 agricultural, commercial and industrial facilities in the West Bank, most of them in Al-Quds, Al-Khalil and Bethlehem.

The occupation forces handed over 29 orders to demolish facilities in Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Jericho, the Jordan Valley, and Al-Khalil.

The Commission stated that the occupation authorities ignore all international laws and continue their blatant defiance of the international position supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with what was stipulated in UN resolutions and which was embodied in the recognition of the State of Palestine by a number of countries of the world.
