Voting begins for Lebanon’s parliamentary elections

Voting began this morning in all Lebanese governorates for the parliamentary elections.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that voters began arriving at the polling centers in a calm atmosphere amid strict security measures taken by the army and internal security forces.

In the parliamentary elections that take place every 4 years, 103 electoral lists comprising 718 candidates distributed over 15 electoral districts are competing to select 128 members of Parliament.
