Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, considered the Israeli cyber attack on communication devices in Lebanon to be a very sophisticated technological attack, carefully planned and capable of having serious consequences in the world, and called for a thorough international investigation into this attack.
Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel today: “The reality of using everyday electronic devices as explosives in itself requires an appropriate investigation,” considering that “the production of such weapons on a large scale takes terrorism to a new level.”
Volodin stressed that this matter poses a comprehensive threat to all countries of the world, and international institutions must take measures to prevent such crimes.
The death toll of Lebanese martyrs who died in the past two days in the Israeli cyber bombings that targeted communication devices in Lebanon has risen to 32 martyrs and more than 3,250 injured.
On the other hand, Vyacheslav Volodin confirmed that the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines dealt a blow to the German economy.
“This is all the result of the policies of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his ilk towards Russia, which supplied energy resources to Germany, and thanks to these resources the German economy was able to compete,” Volodin told Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda.
Volodin pointed out that major companies are withdrawing from Germany because they no longer enjoy privileges, adding: “The Nord Stream explosion took place in their area of responsibility, and they are afraid to announce their position on what happened, and this is a blow to their economy, a blow to their security, and it is a challenge they face.”
It is worth noting that the Nord Stream pipelines, through which gas was pumped from Russia to Germany, were blown up in September 2022, and Russia questioned the German version of the involvement of Ukrainian individuals in the attack, and called for an independent UN investigation.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: The German version can only be believed by those who want to cover up for the Kiev regime.
