Beijing –Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said that the result of the nuclear talks between Iran and Group5+1 (the US, China, Russia, France and UK plus Germany) changed west approach on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
In fact, nuclear talks between the Iranian nuclear negotiators with the G5+1 left positive impact on the stands of the international community, he said.
Addressing the audience at nuclear disarmament and international security conference (Paguash) in Japan, he said in talks between Iran and the G5+1 all witnessed that how trend of confrontation changed into mutual interaction which borne invaluable lessons.
The US tried to employ all options on the table against Iran but to no avail and finally changed its approach towards Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Salehi said.
Iran’s recognized rights to enrich uranium as ways to proliferation of weapons were barred, he said.
Talks between Iran and G5+1 led to implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Salehi said.
Iran called for a Middle East region free from nuclear weapons, he said the idea was offered for the first time ever by Iran in 1974 and were underlined in 1995 and 2000 and the Zionist regime is the main obstacle to this end who ignored to accept NPT agreement.
Nuclear negotiators walked in line with national interests, says Rafsanjani
On the other hand in Tehran, Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said that the Iranian nuclear negotiating team moved in line with the country’s national interests, adding that those who cry out against the move had political intentions.
Majlis approval on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) indicated that the measures taken by the Iranian negotiators were in line with the country’s national interests and those who lodged complaints had political motives, the Expediency Council chairman said.
Rafsanjnai made the remarks in the closing ceremony of the gathering of Iranian ambassadors to foreign countries and envoys to international organizations on Thursday in Tehran.
All those who serve the Iranian nation outside the country and protect the country’s interests truly feel that the international community is now changing to the favor of Iran, he said.
President Rouhani appointed a group of experienced and high qualified team to attend (JCPOA) talks; he said adding that the team could successfully conclude the case in an intensive talk with G5+1.
Six big countries such as the US and European countries tried to persuade us but they themselves were persuaded, he said.
The grave achievement of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team has been registered in history for ever, Rafsanjani said.
The world understood that the Islamic Republic of Iran is looking for constructive interaction with the international community, said the chairman of the expediency council.
