Victory over Daesh Marks End of Terrorist Organizations, Says Jahangiri

Tehran –First Vice-President EshaqJahangiri tweeted on Saturday that victory over Daesh coupled with liberation of Mosul mark end of terrorist groups, according to IRNA.

Jahangiri posted on his twitter the following message, “Victory of the people and government of Iraq over Daesh with liberation of the important and historical city of Mosul marks end of life of terrorist groups and establishment of stability and security in the region.”

 After 12 days of fierce and house-to-house battle between Iraqi forces and Daesh terrorist group in the old region of Mosul, Iraqis managed finally to reach Great Mosque of al-Nuri and the historical Al-Hadba’ Minaret on Thursday morning. Abū Bakr al-Baghdadi used to rule over the location in the same mosque on June 2014. The two monuments were totally demolished by Daesh terrorist group last week.

Following liberation of Great Mosque of al-Nuri and the Al-Hadba’ Minaret in old section of Mosul in western coast of the city, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Ebadi announced end of the superstitious Daesh government.
