Vershinin: We will present to the ICJ evidence that Kiev forces committed atrocities in Donbass

Moscow (ST) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin declared that Russia will submit to the UN International Court of Justice (ICJ) evidence of atrocities committed by the Ukrainian forced in Donbass.

Vershinin said in a statement to the Russian newspaper Izvestia today: “In February, the ICJ rejected Ukrainian accusations against Russia that it exploited the Genocide Convention to justify the launch of its military operation in 2022, and the court is still considering the issue of whether Ukraine itself committed genocide in Donbass, and therefore the plaintiff became a defendant.”

“The West and Ukraine failed to punish Russia, and as a result they punished themselves, and now we will present to the court all the evidence about the atrocities of the Ukrainian forces and extremist Nazi brigades in Donbass”, he added.

It is noteworthy that Ukraine filed cases against Russia before the ICJ twice, but the court rejected all accusations and began an investigation into the actions of the Ukrainian side in Donbass.
