Vera Yameen: Syria is fighting on behalf of all Arabs to keep Region Identity

BEIRUT, (ST) _ Member of the Political Bureau of the Lebanese Marada Trend Vera Yameen stressed that “Syria is fighting on behalf of all Arabs in order to preserve the identity of the region and that the Syrian army is making great achievements in terms of defeating extremist groups, adding “and we do not have an option, as Arabs, but what President Bashar al-Assad, said ” victory or triumph.”

During a seminar at the headquarters of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Australia, Yameen added, “we are in a time of liberation which requires us to be united against the danger that threatens all of us,” noting the need of supporting and arming the Lebanese army for confronting conspiracies.

Speaking about self-distancing, she questioned: “how can I distant myself from a state with which we share 250 km border, and our gateway to the Arab world.  It is in our interest to be open up to the level of relations that bind us to the sisterly and neighboring country.  “

“We share with Syria high level cooperation agreements that should be implemented, so as the eliminate the possibility that our children will be besieged prisoners for “Daesh and al-Nusra front terrorists,” Yameen emphasized.
