The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus began on Sunday receiving Venezuelans residing in Syria to participate in the Venezuelan presidential elections.
SANA reported that the elections will continue until five in the evening, and may be extended.
After casting his vote, the Ambassador of the Republic of Venezuela to Damascus Jose Gregorio Biomorgi Musatis affirmed in a statement to SANA that the embassy had taken all necessary measures to ensure the success of the electoral process and facilitate procedures for Venezuelan citizens in Syria.
The Ambassador explained that this electoral process is an example of democracy and consulting the people in everything related to their future.He noted that this presidential election is witnessing competition between 10 candidates not two, as some media outlets are trying to claim.
9 opposition candidates are running alongside President Maduro to participate in this process.
