Venezuela strongly condemns Israeli aggression on Damascus

Venezuela strongly condemned the air aggression carried out by the Zionist entity on residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood in Damascus and the Qudsaya area in its countryside, which led to the martyrdom of 15 people and the injury of 16 others, including women and children.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement that this aggression affected government structures and diplomatic missions, including the area where the official headquarters of the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela accredited to Damascus is located, causing material damage.

It pointed out that this new terrorist aggression adds another event to “Israel’s” systematic violation of the sovereignty of the two countries, and is considered a threat to regional and global peace and security.

“Venezuela condemns before the international community the Zionist entity’s violation of international law and human rights against sovereign peoples, and reiterates the call to all international actors to agree on joint measures that can stop these war attacks immediately.” the  statement said.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry stressed that the Bolivarian government abhors the practice of terrorism in all its manifestations, because it constitutes one of the most serious threats to peace and security in the world.

The statement expressed Venezuela ‘s solidarity with the people and government of  Syria, and condolences to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery for the wounded.
