Venezuela affirms its support for Russia in its struggle to ensure its security and sovereignty

Caracas, Jun.13, (ST)- Venezuela reiterated its support for Russia in its struggle to ensure its security and sovereignty, in a congratulatory message addressed to Moscow on the occasion of Russia Day.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by TASS: “The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, on behalf of the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian government, congratulates the brotherly people and the government of Russia on the occasion of Russia Day”.

The statement added: “The Bolivarian government expresses its solidarity with Russia’s struggle to ensure its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we reaffirm our determination to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries and raising mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation to the highest level”.

Caracas affirmed its readiness to work together to consolidate a multi-polar world and protect pluralism and international law.
