Various Offers on Honey Products and Beehive Supplies at the Flower Show in Tishreen Park 

A number of beekeepers saw that their participation in the Flower Show, currently being held in Tishreen Park in Damascus, is an opportunity to introduce their products of honey, beehive supplies, and beekeepers’ clothes, and to market them locally and abroad, and to exchange experiences with other participants, and to learn about everything new in this field. 

The head of beekeepers committee at the Union of Agriculture Chambers, Amin Al Kabkli, in a statement to SANA , stated that 40 beekeepers participate in the show, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, the Farmers’ Union and the Damascus Chamber of Agriculture, noting that the pavilion designated for displaying various bee products was distinguished this year in terms of its beautiful design within wooden rooms resembling a beehive, and all beekeepers’ supplies and various products were displayed.

The head of the Association Specializes in beekeeping Bassam Nader explained that through their participation in the exhibition, they provide guidance, technical and marketing services to a number of beekeepers, noting the richness and diversity of the beehives’ nutritional products such as honey, propolis and pollen and the cosmetic and medicinal products, in which honey and other natural materials are included in their composition.

For his part, Ayoub Ajaj indicated that he is participating in the exhibition for the second time and he manufactures all kinds of wooden hives in several shapes, in addition to manufacturing wooden boxes for storing honey.

 Majdi Khalifa explained that he is participating in the show by displaying products for beekeepers including clothes and protective tools including a two-layer cloth suit, a mesh mask, and a natural leather gloves, all of which are made from locally produced cotton materials and fabrics.

Khuzama Al-Jabai noted that she is participating in marketing and displaying the products of beehives which she breeds, and she produces mountain honey, propolis, pollen, and royal jelly, noting the great demand from visitors to buy products, especially therapeutic and medical products.
