US withdrawal from Afghanistan proves the failure of military interventions, says China

Beijing, (ST) – Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stressed that the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan proves that military interventions are doomed to failure.

In a statement today, Wang said that the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan proves that arbitrary military intervention in other countries as well as Washington’s policy of imposing its values and social order on other countries are doomed to failure.

 Last night, the Pentagon announced the completion of the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan after a 20-year invasion and occupation under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
