US-Turkish Deal to Train So-called “Moderate Opposition” Aims to Save Armed Gangs from Defeat in Syria

Baghdad- The American-Turkish deal to train and arm terrorists of the so-called “moderate opposition is nothing but a desperate attempt to save the terrorist gangs in Syria from their inevitable defeat by the Syrian Arab army, according to some Iraqi writers who expressed confidence that this agreement will collapse thanks to the deep cohesion between the Syrian people, army and leadership.

According to Iraqi writer Ahmad Hatef, the deal aims to continue the aggression on Syria and to prolong the American plan of attrition in the region as long as some Arab rulers haven’t realized yet the importance of stopping the American “game” which will expand to beyond their borders.

“The so-called moderate opposition is nothing but propaganda seeking political justification to the continuity of the flow of terrorists into Syria,” Hatef said.

“The Americans believe that such propaganda is necessary to throw the dust in the eyes and to create political pretext justifying the terrorists’ influx into Syria and the continuity of the Gulf’s funding of destruction in the country,” he added.

He pointed out that the U.S. isn’t fighting terrorism or the terrorists of what is called the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL), because there is suspicious silence by US officials towards the terrorists’ flow into Syria across the Turkish borders.

Hatef asserted that the aim of what is going on in Syria is to prolong the war through feeding the conflict by allowing the access of more terrorists and mercenaries into the country.

Ghassan Ale’boudi, another Iraqi writer, affirmed that “Turkey is a part of a Zionist-American scheme in which NATO also takes part as to target the Arab nation in general and Syria in particular due to its historical national stances towards all just Arab causes, its confrontation of the Zionist aggressive and expansionist schemes, its rejection of the Anglo American occupation of Iraq and its support for the Iraqi resistance.

Ale’boudi asked what kind of moderation the US and its allies are talking about and wondered if there is a moderate opposition that carries weapon, practices terrorism and spreads death everywhere.

Meanwhile, Iraqi writer Hasan Obeid Ali underlined the well-known role being played by the current Turkish regime in targeting Syria, noting that the gradual weakening of Syria is the core of the Turkish aspirations in region.

“Turkey has achieved gains by destroying the Syrian industrial infrastructure and undermining its competitiveness,” the writer said, pointing out that Turkey also facilitated the smuggling of stolen Syrian artifacts and oil and was keen to allow arming and training terrorists as to send them to Syria.

“By accepting the deal on training the gangs called moderate opposition, Erdogan’s regime aims to openly establish training camps to the terrorists of the ISIL and al-Nousra Front terrorist organizations, Obeid Ali said.

On his part, Iraqi writer Muneer al-Tamimi said that politically the US-Turkish deal is an attempt to retaliate the slap dealt to the terrorists by resistance in the confrontations that took place in both the Iraqi and Syrian arenas. The legal and diplomatic side of the deal aims not to embarrass Turkey; the country whose role as a sponsor, host and exporter to terrorism was uncovered.

Najm Abdullah, another Iraqi writer indicated that the above mentioned deal is a desperate attempt to get the anti-Syria international conspiring parties out of their embarrassing situation they had put themselves in after the failure of all their plans to justify foreign interference in Syria and to obtain a UN resolution under chapter VII on military intervention against the country. It is also an attempt to save the terrorist gangs from their inevitable defeat in Syria.

Abdullah expressed confidence that the deep cohesion between the Syrian people, Army and leadership confirms that this deal will collapse  and won’t be able to save the terrorists groups from facing a big defeat by the Syrian Arab army in its battle to defend Syria.
