US Still Sending Aid to ISIL, Says Jazayeri

TEHRAN – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General MassoudJazayeri questioned the drive of the US-led anti-ISIL (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) coalition, saying that Washington is still providing the terrorist group with different supports and aids.

The US and the so-called anti-ISIL coalition claim that they have launched a campaign against this terrorist and criminal group, while supplying the group with weapons, food and medicine in Jalawla region (a town in Diyala Governorate, Iraq) explicitly displays the falsity of the coalition and the US claim,” Jazayeri said in Tehran.

He said the claims that the coalition has airdropped the aid to ISIL as a result of a mistake are unlikely and rather untrue because it had the necessary intelligence about ISIL’s deployment in Jalawla city and andeven the airspace over the city was controlled by the coalition.

The US aids to the ISIL still continue,” Jazayeri underscored.

SattarQanim, an Iraqi MP, said recently that the coalition’s fighters have dropped aids for the ISIL terrorists in Jalawla region.

Jazayeri had also made similar remarks last month.

Based on the intelligence, news and analyses we have, the foreign spy agencies, headed by the US, created, managed and supported the ISIL and regional terrorists logistically,” Jazayeri said, addressing Basij (volunteer) forces in Tehran.

Such cooperation still continues and the Americans seek to fool the public opinion under the pretext of confrontation with the terrorist group,” he added.

Jazayeri said that the US has now changed its tactic by forming the so-called anti-ISIL coalition and is attempting to deploy in the region again.

After the US-led coalition against the ISIL declared its creation, Iran lashed out at the western states for pursuing a double-standard policy towards campaign against terrorism in various countries.

Intense media coverage of ISIL attacks cover up for Israel’s failure in Gaza

On The other hand, Head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Department General Ramezan Sharif underlined that the intense foreign media coverage of the ISIL attacks against Iraq was meant to cover up Israel’s failure in the recent war against the Gaza people.

“During the 51-day war of Israel, the arrogant countries’ media shifted their focus on the ISIL attacks and started making hues and cries about it, and one of the main reasons behind this issue was marginalizing the US failure against the people in Gaza,” Sharif said, addressing a forum of Basij (volunteer) forces in the Western city of Kermanshah on Saturday morning.

He also described attempts to display as “violent” the Islamic concepts as another goal pursued by the enemies by exaggerating the ISIL attacks, and said, “We should have a deep understanding of the strategies of enemies’ media and the components of our power.”

Following the recent Israeli onslaught on Gaza, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei praised the Palestinian nation and resistance for their standing against Israel, and said the Israeli regime’s defeat in the Gaza war against a limited number of besieged people proved that the Muslim world has the upper hand in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“In the Palestinian issue, the Muslims fortunately have the upper hand and the events in the 50-day Gaza war and the failure of the Zionist regime as the symbol of the West’s power in the region against the besieged and limited people of Gaza who enjoyed the least possibilities is its obvious instance,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with Iranian Hajj officials in Tehran last month.

The recent victory in Gaza showed that the Muslims are strong and have many capabilities and can challenge any enemy and defend themselves,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei viewed Takfiri streams as one of the instruments and weapons used by the enemies of Islam to sow discord among Muslims and make them busy to forget the Palestinian issue, and said, “The Palestinian issue is the top priority issue of the Muslim world which should receive attention during the Hajj.”

In September, Ayatollah Khamenei said the West lacks the might and awe it enjoyed in the past as its representative, the Zionist regime of Israel, lost the battle against the small population of the Muslims in Gaza.

“The current world order cannot continue and a new order is emerging,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with members of the Assembly of Experts in Tehran.

“The realities in the region and the world show a serious uncertainty in the West’s principles of power and might; therefore, we should understand the realities correctly to prevent wrong analyses,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the failure of the Zionist regime in its recent war against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip, and said, “The recent war in Gaza was an example of miracle; a small region with limited capabilities accomplished a task that brought the Zionist regime, as the symbol of the West’s power, to its knees.”
