US Promoting Pattern of Human Rights Based on Arms Contracts

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that American officials are promoting a new paradigm of protecting human rights based on the volume of arms contracts under the guise of deceptive human rights and human rights cries, according to IRNA.

In response to a recent statement by US State Department spokesman for terrorism and human rights in Iran, Bahram Qasemi said that no one can expect more from government officials who link human rights and human lives to the volume of trade exchanges and the amount of dollars received from the US contracts.

He added, ‘Country like America does not see any need to conceal its previous double-standards, and today the country’s officials are shamelessly promoting a new paradigm of defending human rights based on the volume of arms contracts, under the guise of deceptive human rights and human rights cries.

“US authorities today are allowing some of their allied anti-humanitarian regimes to kill millions of children, women and innocents in some countries in the region, face famine and disease, and bomb schools, hospitals and weddings and funeral celebrations with the most advanced fighters,’ the Foreign Ministry spokesman continued.

Qasemi affirmed, ‘Under such circumstances, America cannot and should not lie in a false and completely discredited place for security in the world and human rights in other countries, sigh and weep; the American Administration’s defense of human rights in return for the amount of dollars paid will only ridicule the heart of human rights. ‘
