US occupation destroyed 62 houses in Hasakah city last month

HASAKAH, Feb.27, (ST)-The Director of Labour and Social Affairs Department in Hasakah Ibrahim Khalaf declared on Sunday that the US occupation recently destroyed 62 houses in Gwiran and Al-Zohor neighborhoods in Hasakah city and caused damage to the buildings of the faculties of Civil Engineering and Economy and Al-Bassel Laboratory.

“12 houses were partly damaged, while 50 others were completely damaged,” Khalaf added.

The residents whose houses were destroyed in the two above mentioned  neighborhoods were forced to leave their houses and to go to temporary shelters.

The destruction of the houses comes within the US occupation’s plan, which is being implemented by the “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia, to empty the region from its population as the houses are located near the illegal bases of the US occupation.

Last month, hundreds of the residents of the southern neighborhoods in Hasakah were displaced when the US occupation struck the houses in the region under the pretext of pursuing the ISIS terrorists, who escaped from the Al-Thanaweyeh Al-Senaeyeh” prison.
