US occupation admits that 22 soldiers injured in a helicopter crash in the Syrian Al-Jazira region

Hasakah , (ST) – The Central Command of the US occupation forces admitted that 22 US soldiers were injured, as a result of the crash of  a helicopter that was carrying them in the areas where the occupation forces are deployed in northeastern Syria.

The Central Command of the US occupation forces “CENTCOM” announced in a brief statement that “on the 11th of June, an accident involving a helicopter in northeastern Syria resulted in the injury of 22 American soldiers at varying degrees,” without providing any clarifications about the circumstances of the accident. It said that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The statement pointed out that ten of the wounded soldiers were transferred outside what it called the area of operations of the Central Command, in order to receive treatment in health facilities.

The American occupation forces, in collusion with the US-backed “SDF” militia, control the majority of the oil fields in Al-Jazira region, where they established military bases with the aim of stealing Syrian oil and transporting it to its bases in the Iraqi territories through illegal crossings.

The popular rejection of the presence of the American occupation forces in Al-Jazira region is witnessing a steady increase in the areas where these forces are deployed. Dozens of occupation convoys were expelled by the people during their attempts to cross through their areas in the governorates of Hasakah and Deir Ezzor. In addition, the occupation bases in the countryside of the two governorates have been targeted with rockets, mortars, and various ambushes have been recognized by the occupation army leadership several times.
