US-Led Coalition Warplanes Attack Syrian Army Position in Deir Ezzor, Zionist Enemy Targets Position in Quneitra

DEIR EZZOR- The US-led coalition airstrikes Saturday evening targeted one of the Syrian Arab Army positions at al-Tharda Mountain in the surrounding of Deir Ezzor Airport, a statement by the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said.

The attack led to the martyrdom and wounding of tens of military personnel and  to material damage in military equipments. It also paved the way for the “ISIS” terrorists to attack and control the site, the command statement added.

 The attack is a blatant dangerous aggression against the Syrian Arab Republic and its army and a clear-cut evidence proving the support of the United States and its allies to “ISIS” terrorist organization and other terrorist groups and uncovering their allegations about fighting terrorism, according to the command.

Since August, 2014, the United States has been leading  a coalition allegedly to fight ISIS  terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. It carried out thousands of sorties but failed to stop the extremist organization’s expansion or to make any achievement on ground because of its being unserious about fighting terrorism and because it didn’t coordinate its activities with the Syrian and Iraqi governments.   

Russian MoD Confirms US-Led Coalition’s F-16, A-10 Jets Attacked Syrian Army

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that Syrian army positions were attacked by two F-16 and two A-10 jets of the US-led coalition.

 The coalition’s aircraft entered Syrian airspace from the side of the Iraqi border,” Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, according to Sputnik.

A number of soldiers were martyred and many others were wounded in the attack.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that ISIS terrorists launched an offensive soon after the US-led coalition aircraft attacked the Syrian army forces.

 “If this airstrike was carried out due to an error in the coordinates of the targetm it is a direct consequence of US side’s unwillingness to coordinate its actions against terrorist groups with Russia,” the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman emphasized.

 Zionist Enemy Targets Position in Quneitra Countryside

In a relevant context, the Israeli enemy attacked a position in the surroundings of Khan Arnaba town in Quneitra countryside within the framework of its direct support to the Takfiri terrorist organizations that commit massacres and crimes against locals in Quneitra countryside, SANA reported.

According to SANA correspondent in Quneitra countryside, on September 13th, at 01:00 AM, the Syrian Air Defense Forces repelled the Israeli enemy’s air force that attacked a Syrian military position in Quneitra countryside, shooting down an Israeli warplane to the southwest of Quneitra and an Israeli drone to the west of Sa’sa’ town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
