DEIR EZZOR- Warplanes of the US-led coalition, allegedly fighting ISIS terrorist organization, on Wednesday dropped white phosphorous bombs on residential areas in Syria’s Deir Ezzor, claiming the lives of a number of civilians, injuring scores others and causing huge destruction to houses.
According to local and media sources, the coalition warplanes targeted the outskirts of al-Suwar town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor with phosphorous bombs, killing three civilians, injuring five others and causing huge damage to private and public properties.
On Tuesday, the coalition’s warplanes bombarded Markadah town in the south of Hasaka, killing nine people including two women and an Iraqi displaced family of 6 members who fled ISIS crimes in Iraq’s Mosul and came to Syria.
Last June, the coalition acknowledged it had used white phosphorus bombs in its airstrikes on several areas in Raqqa.
