US lawmakers are concerned about violations of the human rights in Turkey

US MPs have expressed their grave concern over the Turkish regime’s continuing flagrant violations of human rights in Turkey.

The MPs,including Greg Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Mike McCall, a prominent Republican member, called on President Joe Biden’s administration to address these violations.

On March 1st,Reuters reported that 170 members of the House of Representatives sent a statement to  Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken explaining that the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party, had weakened the Turkish judiciary state.

The American representatives also called on President Biden’s administration to address the worrisome human rights issues and take them into account in its policy towards Turkey.

The Erdogan regime launched a campaign against its opponents more than four years ago.
