LATAKKIA-Janice Kortkamp, the aide of US Senator Richard “Dick” Black, has regretted the United States’ support for the terrorism targeting Syria, according to the state news agency SANA.
During her meeting on Sunday with Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khedr al-Salem, Kortkamp hoped that the American people will become aware of the true nature of the terrorism that is targeting Syria, lauding the sacrifices of the martyrs who defended their homeland and affirming that the Syrians will emerge victorious.
For his part, al-Salem said that the Syrians hope that other peoples of the world will understand the truth of what is happening in Syria and work to change their government’s policies that support terrorism, the same terrorism backed by Erdogan’s regime and the leaders of the Arab Gulf, among others.
In a statement to journalists after the meeting, Kortkamp said “Syria is a country of tolerance and hospitality, and what is actually happening here is different from what misleading media outlets depict.”
She said that it’s time for the American people to wake and realize that their government is supporting the war on Syria, and that the US must stop doing so and begin helping the Syrian people instead.
