MOSCOW, (ST)- The US coercive economic measures and the so-called “Caesar Act” are a kind of economic terrorism that targets the Syrian people and their potentials, according to Russian journalist “Roman Pervezyentsev”, the political commentator in the “Post Scriptum” show at the Russian Central TV Channel.
He said that Caesar Act is an attempt to block funding for one of Syria’s most productive sectors, to stop necessary support for simple citizens and prevent the Syrians’ access to the medical equipment that are necessary for confronting the spread of coronavirus.
The Russian commentator added that the new US coercive measures against Syria coincided with the victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army in the fight against the remaining terrorist groups, noting the continuous US support for the terrorist organizations in Syria.
He affirmed that Washington’s new economic terrorism against Syria will fail just as the terrorism of the US-backed terrorist organizations has failed thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people.
