The US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) separatist militia on Saturday prevented the entry of flour to Hasakah’s first bakery with the aim of stopping the production of bread and depriving thousands of families from this basic food.
In a statement to SANA, Director of the Bakeries Branch in the city Abdulla Al-Haser said that “Preventing the flour trucks from delivering flour to “Al-Basel Bakery” by the militia will lead to the stop of work at the bakery and consequently lead to a sharp scarcity in bread in the city of Hasakah.”
This move comes as the SDF militia continues to besiege “Al-Baath Bakery” in Qamishli and prevent the delivery of flour and other basic supplies to the bakery, leading to its stoppage, he added.
In an earlier statement, Al-Haser said that the SDF militants has besieged Al-Baath bakery and prevented the access of supplies necessary for producing bread, he clarified, pointing out that this bakery is the main facility that secures bread to the neighborhoods in the city of Qamishli.
Local sources pointed out that SDF militants besieged the bakery at 4 p.m. on Friday from the direction of Al-Shabab Sport City, confiscated the bread, prevented the citizens from entering the bakery and expelled the workers.
