US-backed SDF militia prevents flour deliveries from entering Hasakah city center

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia on Wednesday re-erected its illegal checkpoints at the al-Baath automatic bakery and in the vicinity of Qamishli city center hours after the siege imposed on the Tay and Halko neighborhoods was lifted.

According to SANA reporter, the SDF militia also prevented flour deliveries from entering Hasakah city center, causing the stopping of public and private bakeries.

The reporter made it clear that by setting up these new checkpoints, the SDF militia aims at tightening security measures against civilians in search for participants in the protests that took place recently to express the locals’ rejection of the SDF siege.

The militia prevented the trucks carrying flour from entering Hasakah city center and Al-Baath bakery, thus public and private bakeries have come to a complete halt.

In the same context, a group of SDF militants kidnapped a number of civilians along Qamishli-Hasakah road and another group tried to kidnap one of the notables of Tay tribe, but he managed to flee. Hours earlier, the SDF militants kidnapped a number of state employees.
