US-backed SDF militia kidnaps several young men from Al-Nashwa neighborhood in Hasakah amid families’ protests

US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia on Wednesday raided Al-Nashwa Al-Gharbiyeh neighborhood in Hasakah province, kidnapped a number of young men and took them to training camps to force them to fight alongside its militants.

The move is part of the SDF militia’s continuous criminal acts against the locals in the areas under its control that aim at taking the youths and recruiting them within its ranks, according to local sources.

The sources pointed out that the SDF militants cordoned off the neighborhood and opened heavy fire to disperse the locals who gathered to prevent them from kidnapping their sons, which prompted the militia to bring in reinforcements to complete its crime.

On Tuesday, the SDF militia kidnapped more than 100 young men in the city of Raqqa and its southwestern countryside with the aim of forcing them to join the so-called “duty of self-defense.”
