US-backed SDF militia kidnaps several civilians and captures a number of houses in Raqqa countryside

RAQQA, (ST)- The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia attacked several cities and towns in Raqqa countryside, stormed the locals’ houses and kidnapped a number of civilians. They also seized a number of houses in these areas.

 Local sources told SANA that a group of SDF militants stormed several houses in al-Jarnieh city to the west of Raqqa and kidnapped a number of young men in order to force them to serve within the militia ranks.  

The sources pointed out that the SDF militants also captured several houses under construction in the Youth Housing project in the north of Raqqa after they expelled some displaced families that were residing temporarily in these houses.
