US-backed SDF militia kidnaps civilians including a child in Hasakah and its countryside

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia continues to conduct raids and kidnap civilians in the areas under their control in the Syrian Al-Jazira region, northeast of Syria.

In a new development on Tuesday the SDF militants stormed the villages of Al-Haddadiyeh, Afra and Al-Bukhari as well as several villages in the vicinity of Markada area in Hasakah southern countryside, kidnapped a number of civilians including a 16 years child and took them to unknown destination. The militants forcibly took the child to a recruitment camp to train him on fighting within the ranks of the SDF militia, local sources told SANA.

Over the past days, the SDF militia escalated its attacks on the areas it occupies and kidnapped dozens of locals from the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Hasakah. Yesterday, the militia kidnapped Mohammad Turki Al-Khiro, a senior Baath Party official in Ras Al-Ayn, and took him to Al-Derbaseyeh city without a clear reason.
