US-backed SDF militia demolishes citizens houses in Al-Hawl area in Hasaka

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia has displaced a number of civilians in the vicinity of Al-Hawl camp and demolished their houses.

According to local sources, the SDF militants, without any prior warning, bulldozed the houses after forcing the owners out of them. They also seized all  the groves and farmlands in the vicinity of the camp in order to use them for military purposes in implementation of the US occupation’s agendas.

The sources said that these violations are being carried out under the pretext of securing the vicinity of Al-Hawl camp, a new pretext that aims at displacing the locals, seizing their houses and turning them into military headquarters. The sources pointed out that whoever rejects orders will be kidnapped or killed.

A young man in the area described the SDF violations as systematic displacement that has nothing to do with human values and morals, noting a state of popular anger over the SDF militia’s aggressive and provocative practices towards citizens in this area. He urged all concerned parties and UN bodies operating in the area to pressure the SDF militia to stop its violations against civilians and their properties.
