US-backed SDF militia clashes with residents of town in Deir Ezzour

DEIR EZZOUR, Aug.6, (ST)-At least 2 civilians were wounded by bullets fired by the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militiamen in Jazret Al-Bohmed town in western countryside of Deir Ezzour governorate.

According to local sources, the SDF militiamen raided the above mentioned town and tried to kidnap several young men, but the residents of the town had clashed with the militiamen for 2 hours and dismissed an armed group affiliated to the SDF militia.

The residents also captured two military checkpoints affiliated to the militia in the market of the town.

The sources clarified that 2 young men and 3 members of the SDF militia were injured in the clashes that erupted when the militiamen were trying to arrest a young man ,

They indicated that the SDF militia brought in large military reinforcements towards the town, which is witnessing tension, in the light of the residents’ refusal of the return of the militiamen to the town.
