Fighting the takfiri terrorism, especially the ISIS, al-Nosra Front and their affiliated offshoots require a credible and united stand from all states, especially the US and its Western allies. From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, the US, its Western allies and regional tools have been supporting the terrorist groups operating in Syria under the guise of being what is called moderate opposition.
To cover its policy of supporting terrorism, the US formed a coalition to fight ISIS. However, almost a year after forming the coalition, no tangible result has been realized. Rather, takfiri terrorism has started to spread in other states of the world.
The bombing campaigns directed by the US against ISIS positions have been largely ineffective. So, there are all sorts of questions about whether this is really a genuine fight. The United States has no interest in defeating Takfiri ISIS organization because it is using them as an excuse for its continued presence in the Middle East. The Americans have no interest and no intention to end the lifetime of those terrorist groups in Syria and in Iraq. In fact, the US has played a great role in forming the ISIS terrorist group and has used it as an excuse to return back to the region and to have a permanent presence there. If the war with the ISIS ends, then the Americans will have no excuse or they cannot justify their strong military presence in the region.
The CIA, the Mossad and the Saudi intelligence service are all supplying the ISIS and this is going to prolong the war. At the end, they are going to be defeated and the lands of Iraq and Syria are going to be cleansed from terrorists. The United States’ strategy is to destabilize the countries in the Middle East in order to prevent any geopolitical challenge to Zionism. The Pentagon is using a new kind of warfare which involves destabilizing countries by working with non-state actors such as ISIS which was largely created by Western-allied intelligence. The US strategy is to keep these wars going in order to keep the pot boiling, destabilize these societies so that they’ll never be strong and stable enough to pose any kind of geopolitical challenge to US and Zionist power in the region.
In terms of actually doing something to prevent the ISIS, very little has been done. The US and its Arab allies created the al-Qaeda linked al-Nusra Front and the ISIS terrorist groups so that they could justify their meddling in Syria. The Western-backed monarchies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain hurt the region by supporting terror groups, they commit crimes against their own citizens by limiting their rights and freedoms. The US has long history of creating militant and terrorist groups in various parts of the world in order to advance its own vicious agenda.
The anti-Daesh coalition is nothing but a huge lie, because facts prove that this alliance is a failure, and it’s selective in choosing its targets. Most members of the same alliance have long been among the staunch supporters of the Takfiri extremist groups operating to topple the Syrian state over the past four years, because Syria is the center of the resistance axis against Zionism. There is a connection between the increase of refugees going to Europe and the escalating threat of terrorism. The real reasons for this phenomenon are the crimes committed by terrorist organizations like ISIS as well as the economic sanctions imposed by the EU on Syria which have had a negative impact on the living conditions of Syrian people.
The UN Security Council should take immediate measures against terrorist organizations and the countries and states supporting them away from double standards. It is important that the United Nations embark on implementing a comprehensive anti-terrorism project in line with the international law and the UN Charter that shuns any explanations or interpretations that some countries-including the United Kingdom, US, France, Austria and Belgium-have invoked recently to encroach upon the Charter.
