US announce 1997 new deaths from coronavirus within 24 hours

Washington, (ST) – The United States announced 1997 new deaths from the coronavirus during the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll in the country to 40,661 deaths.

The news agency AFP in Baltimore said that the number of coronavirus cases has risen from 732,197 to 759,086 since the outbreak began in the country.
The United States, which recorded the first death at the end of last February, is the country most affected by this epidemic, in terms of both deaths and injuries.

Coronavirus infections exceeded 100,000 in Latin America


On the other hand,the number of infected people with Corona virus in Latin America has exceeded 100,000, in addition to 5,000 deaths.

According to AFP statistic based on official figures, the total number of cases yesterday in the group of Latin American countries reached 100,952 injuries, with 4942 deaths.

Brazil, with a population of 210 million, recorded the largest number of cases with 38,654 infected and 2,462 deaths; although experts believe that the number of infections is much greater than the stated number given as few tests were conducted.
