US and Turkish intimidation practices

The illegal US and Turkish presence on Syrian territories has been one of the main obstacles hindering the settlement of crisis in Syria and ending terrorist activities in the region, because the two regimes are the main supporters of terrorist groups operating in Syria.

There is a need to eliminate the US and Turkish occupations of Syrian territories and to end their aggressive practices in supporting terrorism and their atrocious crimes against innocent and defenseless Syrians and public and private properties.

The Turkish regime has recently brought vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition, as well as Uzbek, Tajik and Caucasian mercenaries and terrorists via the Turkish borders to Idleb to support the terrorist organization of Jabhat al-Nusra classified on the list of international terrorism.

Mercenaries of the Turkish regime positioned in Efrin and other nearby areas along with the forces of the Turkish occupation, continue their terrorist and oppressive practices which are represented in the acts of killing and kidnapping against the locals in the areas which have been occupied by the forces of the Turkish regime since March last year. Since it was occupied on March 18th last year, Efrin City and its countryside have been witnessing continued endeavors by the regime of Erdogan to impose its sinister schemes depending on certain practices which affected different walks of life such as replacing the names of certain areas and the main squares with Turkish names in an attempt to eradicate their real Syrian Arab identity, in addition to imposing the Turkish language as a main subject at the schools and hoisting the Turkish flag on them. Such aggressive practices recall what has been done by the Zionist occupation in the occupied Golan and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Turkish forces and warplanes have destroyed many archeological sites in Efrin city such as Ain Zara temple and the archeological sites of  al-Nabi Houri and Tal Jandares, in addition to destroying the archeological site of Barad to the south of Efrin City which is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The illegal “Washington Coalition”, which was formed without the authorization of the UN Security Council, also continues its intimidation practices against civilians in al-Jazeera area in Syria in coordination with its tools of the so-called Qasad (SDF) militia by kidnapping citizens, conducting raids and bombing populated areas under the pretext of pursuing Daesh terrorist organization.

A child recently died in al-Haul Camp in Hasaka southern countryside, which is dominated by US-backed Qasad militias, due to lack of healthcare in the camp where the militias control the arrival of relief materials to it. Patrols of Qasad militias, supported by US occupation forces recently stormed into Khashman neighborhood in Hasaka city , and abducted 30 persons form the neighborhood. The patrols forcibly prevented tens of displaced families from returning to their houses in Raqqa city coming from Deir Ezzor and Raqqa countryside.

The international community should shoulder its responsibilities towards ending the illegitimate US and Turkish presence on the Syrian territories, because their existence contributes only to prolonging the crisis and the spread of terrorism.
