US ,allies seek to turn Syria into base for Takfiri movements, says Shibani

Tehran, (ST)_ “the US and its Western allies are relentlessly seeking  to turn Syria into a base for takfiri movements, which definitely  indicates their wrong assessment of the situation in the regional, “emphasized Iran’s ambassador to Syria Mohammadreza  Rauf Shibani.

The Iranian diplomat made the comment while talking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday on the recent rumors saying that a large number of terrorists are presently arriving in Syria simultaneous with the victories of the Syrian army.

“the region’s people  will not allow tampering with the interests of the Syrian people and the axis of resistance, “asserted Shibani.

The enemies have ramped up economic pressure on the Syrian people, Shibani said, indicating that Iran supports the Syrian people and believes in the political solution to solve the crisis.

Shibani made it clear that Iran is using its power to launch a comprehensive dialogue among different political forces inside and outside Syria as to reach a national pact that materializes  the Syrian people’ aspirations .

He said that spreading such news(flocking of terrorists to Syria)are aimed at promoting the spirits of the terrorist groups  as the Syrian army is making progress on the ground.

“such news always existed  since the beginning  of the crisis in Syria, but the recent ones were mainly a propaganda warfare, “underscored Shibani.
