US activist to Mr. Biden: End the aggressions against Syria

US activist has underscored that there is no justification whatsoever for Washington’s endless attempts to literally take control over Syria’s future.

Janice Kortkamp, who has visited Syria several times,  said the Syrian people are suffering and have been suffering for nearly 10 years as a direct result of the US and allies’ regime change actions against them.

“Syria is not and never has been a threat or enemy of the United States of America yet at every turn the US has attacked Syria as an enemy,” she told the Syria Times e-newspaper.

The activist went on to say: “America doesn’t like the thought of other countries possibly interfering in our elections – there is no justification whatsoever for our endless attempts to literally take control over Syria’s future. It is deadly and destructive hypocrisy.”

Her message to the new US president Joe Biden is: End the aggressions against Syria in the military, economic and political realms.

Mrs. Kortkamp expressed her sorrow over the remarks made by both Biden and Harris on increasing US involvement and pressure against Syria.

“This is very concerning particularly since Biden was Vice President when President Obama was using terrorist proxy forces to take control of  Syria. President Trump of course continues the illegal occupation of Syrian lands, the equipping and supporting of mercenary forces in the northeast, and the theft of Syrian oil,” she stated.

The activist concluded by saying: “Sadly US policy remains against the sovereignty of Syria regardless of who is in the White House.”
