Upon directives of President Bashar Al-Assad, a Syrian-Russian tactical project using live ammunition
Upon the directives of Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, President Bashar al-Assad, and based on the combat training plans of our armed forces for this year, one of our combat formations carried out an operational tactical project for several days, in cooperation with the Russian forces operating in Syria.
The project was attended by General Abdul Karim Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff, and General Alexander Shaiko, commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, and a number of senior Syrian and Russian officers.
The project manager gave a detailed explanation of the idea of the operations, which included the work of intrusion detachments during an attack in the mountains and forests.
The project began with an intense fire preamble in which various fire means were used, including artillery, rocket launchers, mortars, warplanes, helicopters, and others.
The Chief of the General Staff General Abdul Karim Ibrahim met with the field commanders and conveyed to them the congratulations of President Bashar al-Assad on the glorious anniversary of the October Liberation War.
He conducted a comprehensive critique and analysis of all phases of the project, and commended their efforts and high professionalism in achieving the desired goals of the project, and provided them with instructions to follow up on the implementation of the tasks and duties entrusted to them.
He praised the high morale shown by the fighters, who, in turn, expressed their full readiness to carry out what their national duty dictates, in order to redeem Syria’s pride and the dignity of its people and to preserve its sovereignty and independence, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
