UNRWA warns of worsening levels of hunger in the Gaza Strip

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees UNRWA has warned of worsening levels of hunger in the Gaza Strip.
The director of the Agency’s affairs in Gaza, Thomas White, has said today on the “X” platform, according to Wafa Agency: “The residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a catastrophic state of hunger, and 40 percent of them are at risk of famine.”
“Every day in Gaza is a struggle for survival, in search of food and water,” White added, noting that there is a need for more regular humanitarian supplies, which require safe and sustainable access for the residents of the Strip.
White attached a video clip showing the arrival of hundreds of Palestinians to the UNRWA aid convoy in Gaza City, in light of the people’s dire needs for food and emergency supplies.
Every day, Gaza needs a thousand trucks of supplies and aid, such as baby formula, relief and catering supplies, basic goods and commodities for markets, medical devices, as well as rescue and civil defense mechanisms, according to the Gaza Media Office.
