UNRWA: Number of child victims of the Israeli aggression in Gaza exceeds their number during four years of wars in the world

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, announced on Tuesday that the number of Palestinian children who were martyred as a result of the continuing Israeli aggression on  Gaza Strip exceeds their number during four years of conflicts in the world.

“It is horrible. The number of children killed in just four months in Gaza exceeds the number of children killed over four years in all conflicts around the world.” Agence France-Presse reported as Lazzarini as twitted on X platform on Tuesday.

He described what is happening in Gaza as “a war on children… a war on their childhood and their future.”

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their fascist aggression against the Gaza Strip for 158 days, committing hundreds of massacres against the Palestinians, which led to the martyrdom of 31,184 Palestinians, including 12,300 children, while United Nations statistics recorded the killing of 2,139 children in wars around the world between 2019 and 2022.
