UNRWA demands the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza

Vienna, (ST) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called for facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian crisis after two weeks of the brutal Israeli aggression against it.

Reuters quoted Tamara Al-Rifai, the agency’s spokeswoman, as saying: We demand the continuation of the continuous and unhindered flow of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza. It added that the trucks that have arrived so far are only a few drops in the face of the enormous needs of people on the street.

With the continuing disaster that the Gaza Strip is experiencing as a result of the aggression and siege, the occupation only allowed the entry of two aid convoys through the Rafah crossing during the past two days, carrying very limited quantities of food and medicine, which constitute only a drop in the ocean of the increasing humanitarian needs of the people of the Gaza Strip.
