UNRWA: 600.000 Palestinians were displaced inside Gaza to UNRWA facilities

UNRWA has announced that about 600.000 Palestinians are displaced inside the Gaza Strip and reside in 150 of its facilities.

Reuters quoted the agency as saying on the X social media platform today: about 600.000 Palestinians were displaced inside Gaza Strip and reside in 150 of UNRWA facilities, and that at least about 40 facilities were affected by the war.

The agency added that: “Our shelters currently accommodate four times their capacity and many people are sleeping on the streets due to the crowding of the existing facilities”.

The Director of UNRWA Operations in Gaza confirmed yesterday that the situation is terrible and the humanitarian supplies are very limited and food and drinking water have become scarce, indicating the urgent need for a sustainable supply line of aid for the Strip. UNRWA called for facilitating the flow of the humanitarian aid to the Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian crisis as a result of two weeks of brutal Israeli aggression against it.
