Unjustified Turkish Aggression on Syria Condemned

DAMASCUS, (ST)-  The Turkish military aggression on the Syrian land and the terrorist attacks carried out by Turkish government-backed armed groups were a source of condemnation of several political forces and legal parties.

A number of Egyptian political analysts and writers stressed that the aggression was a clear cut evidence of the Turkish government’s involvement in the conspiracy against Syria and in the unlimited support to the terrorist groups aiming to destroy and fragment Syria in implementation of Western and Zionist schemes.

Yesterday, Turkey targeted a Syrian warplane while confronting the armed terrorist groups who infiltrated from Turkey into Syria to attack people in Kasab, Lattakia.

The Turkish government on Friday and Saturday also launched an unprecedented and absolutely unjustified military aggression against Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kasab bordering area in Lattakia. The Turkish forces fired tanks and artillery shells on the Syrian territory to cover the access of the terrorist gangs from the Turkish territories into Syria.

Secretary General of the Egyptian Resistant Leftist Party Ibrahim Badrawi said targeting the Syrian warplane affirms Turkey’s participation in helping the armed gangs implement the colonialist “Greater Middle East” scheme after theses gangs had received smashing blows by the Syrian Arab Army in different parts of the Syrian land.

“The steadfastness of the Syrian state, the successive victories of the Syrian army and the collapse of the Moslem-Brotherhood in Egypt have angered the American-Moslem Brotherhood-Israeli alliance, so they resorted to another plan represented in the Turkish aggression,” Badrawi said.

In the same context, Director of Yafa Political Studies Center Rif’at al-Sayed Ahmad stressed that “Erdogan is being exposed to heavy internal pressure that may overthrow him, so he wants to send a message to the Turkish people telling them that there is a battle outside Turkey on which the Turkish government needs to concentrate. But he failed, because the Turkish people realize well that their government is gretly involved in the crisis in Syria.”

For his part, Mahmoud Jaber, an expert of Islamic groups Affairs, asserted that the Syrian state is required to eliminate the armed terrorist groups and clear Syria from the gangs and mercenaries whatever the Turkish or the Zionist provocations were.

In Yemen, the Regional Leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist party condemned the Turkish violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian land by ensuring a cover to the terrorists, stressing that” this confirms Turkey’s involvement in Syria events since the eruption of the crisis and proves Erdogan’s bankruptcy and failure to meet the requirements of the Turkish people who rejected their government anti-Syria policy.

Several Arab, Turkish and international parties and organizations called for solidarity with Syria and its steadfast people by adopting a clear stance condemning the Terrorist Ottoman arrogance led by Erdogan, the close ally to Zionism and the Western American colonialism.

Moreover, The Arab Armenian International Law Assembly said in a statement that the Assembly vehemently condemned the aggression carried out by mercenaries and terrorist groups, backed militarily by the Turkish government of Erdogan, on Kasab in the northern countryside of Latttakia and which led to the displacement of 6, 800 Syrian citizens, most of them were Armenians, who were exposed to slaughter and to having their properties looted.

The statement added that “the crimes of genocide, displacement and attack on properties committed by the Ottomans in the past, are now being committed by Erdogan and his gangs.”
