University of California workers strike to denounce the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip

More than 12,000 workers in the University of California joined the protests in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in denunciation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
Wafa Agency reported that 12,000 academic workers at the University of California and the University of California, Davis, joined 2,000 people already on strike at the University of California, Santa Cruz, as part of a historic strike at American universities in solidarity with the Palestinian people, which will prompt other unions to join it later.
The workers union, which includes 48,000 academic workers, opposes the policies of the “University of California’s chiefs” in dealing with protesting students and allowing the police to assault and arrest them.
A number of academic workers were also arrested while trying to protect their students from the violent police responses to the camps, and some of them were prevented from reaching to their offices.
