United Nations: More than 260,000 people were displaced from their homes as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Occupied Jerusalem  (ST): The United Nations has confirmed that the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has so far displaced more than 260,000 people inside the Gaza Strip.
France Press Agency quoted the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) as saying in a statement today: 263,934 people were displaced from their homes as a result of the raids and artillery shelling launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip since last Saturday, indicating that this number is likely to rise as this violent bombing continues.
The statement added: The bombing operations destroyed more than 1,000 housing units, while 560 housing units were severely damaged, making them uninhabitable, pointing out that approximately 175,000 of those displaced took refuge in 88 schools run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), while thousands of others were displaced to government schools.
It concluded by saying that meeting basic needs has become more difficult for those who were not displaced from their homes.
