United Nations: Aid to Gaza decreased by two-thirds since the start of the Rafah invasion

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that the amount of humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip has decreased by two-thirds since the Israeli occupation began invading the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip on May the 7th .
“The amount of food and other aid entering Gaza, which was already insufficient to meet the growing needs, has decreased further.” WAFA agency reported the office as saying in a a statement on Thursday.
The office confirmed that there is a need to bring at least 500 trucks daily of aid and commercial goods into the Gaza Strip, pointing out that aid trucks have diminished due to the occupation’s closure of the Rafah crossing, and the inability to transport goods safely and continuously from the Kerem Shalom crossing, in addition to the limited  of delivery operations via other entry points.
