United Nations: About 200,000 Syrians return to their country since the fall of the former regime

United Nations high commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, announced that about 200,000 Syrians refugees have returned to their country after the fall of the former regime.
Grandi stated in a post on X platform: “About 200,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their homeland since the beginning of last December”. He noted that 500,000 Syrians from the refugee population in Lebanon had previously returned to their homes last year due to Israeli aggression.
Grandi mentioned that he will soon visit Syria and its neighboring countries. He emphasized that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee is working to intensify its supporting for those returning to Syria and the host communities.
